The ocean has always reminded me that beauty is never still. It moves, changes, and returns with every wave, just as each season brings new life to the landscape.

Inspired by the California coastline, Ocean in Bloom celebrates the meeting of vibrant wildflowers and the endless sea. Created entirely with palette knives, rich layers of oil paint build texture, movement, and light, allowing the landscape to feel alive rather than simply observed.

This painting is less about a specific place than it is about a feeling—the joy of standing at the edge of the ocean, surrounded by blooming poppies, breathing deeply as the horizon stretches beyond what we can see. It is an invitation to slow down, embrace the beauty of the present moment, and remember that, like nature, we are always capable of blooming.
